Access
Control lets you control and monitor the movements of
people or vehicles through secured access points such
as doors, turnstiles, and parking lot barriers.
Our System can include control for up to milion doors
using industry standard cards and readers. Multiple individual
access IDs are linked to users to provide time based control
of who goes where and when in the building.
Manual and automatic door controls can provide free access
through selected doors while the building is open for
business.
:: What are the benefits of using an access control system?
Access control is a means of
controlling and monitoring the movement of people or vehicles
through secured access points such as doors, turnstiles
and parking lot barriers.
Access control systems allow you to decide who goes where
in your building and at what times, so that only authorized
personnel may gain entry.
Visitors can be clearly identified by issuing special
visitor cards.
:: A choice of reading technologies
Most access systems available today can incorporate a
wide variety of ID (identification) devices and their
respective reading technologies.
Our system has it's own `proximity' (non-contact) based
ID device, as well as compatibility with most other types
of reading technologies. This means that you can choose
the technology that you prefer: proximity; wiegand; magnetic
stripe; infra-red or biometric.
:: Choosing the right access control system
Choosing the right system involves identifying your own
security requirements and matching them to the products
available in the marketplace.

What can READYKEY for Windows offer you?
READYKEY for Windows gives you the ability to decide
who goes where and when, not only on your site, but
also on remote sites anywhere in the world.
::
A range of product enhancements
READYKEY for Windows has been designed as a flexible
and modular system. This means that you can tailor it
to your needs, purchasing only those features which
you require.
:: A closer look at READYKEY for Windows
READYKEY for Windows is a software package which runs
under the Microsoft Windows environment. It allows you
to administer a network of hardware units which control
doors and other security equipment. You can then decide
who is authorized to go where on your site (or sites),
and at what times.
The alarm reporting capabilities are extensive. For
example, the system can monitor whether doors have been
left open and sound an alarm at the PC. Remote sites
can dial up the PC if an alarm occurs. The system may
be administered by up to 10 PCs on a local area network
(LAN). Alarms can be filtered by division or by site.
READYKEY for Windows can also offer building management
functions. The system can control and monitor a wide
range of other equipment, including:
|
|
- Heating
- Ventilation
- Lightning
- Cold storage
- Airlock application
- Security cameras

Personnel
The Personnel application is one of the most important,
and is easy to recognize by its distinctive icon. The
Personnel application provides a database that offers
comprehensive search and report facilities. This enables
you to define your own reports quickly and easily. There
are 20-user definable information fields for personal
details such as payroll, car license, and next of kin,
etc.
You can divide the database up into departments and
then into workgroups so that reports can be run on any
specific group of people. This also makes administration
of the system much easier.
Each personnel record can hold an image of the keyholder.
This is achieved by using the READYKEY Photo ID Module.
See Photo ID datasheet. Individual Photo ID cards can
be printed directly from each personnel record.
:: Personnel Import/Export Facility
This feature enables personnel information to be easily
imported or exported between READYKEY for Windows and
other applications such as a Time and Attendance System.
:: Alarm
When an alarm occurs, it is immediately brought to the
attention of the operator. The operator can accept the
alarm or store it in a
queue. A history of alarms can be retrieved to show
where any problems have occurred and what action was
taken. Each alarm point can have custom text and/or
a picture attached which may be used to describe the
action the operator should take in the event of an alarm.
With a multi-site system the door controllers can dial
back automatically to the central site when an alarm
occurs.
Alarm sounds support
Sound files can now be attached to individual alarms
so that customized, talking alarms can be recorded that
relate to the specific event. Alternatively, appropriate
sound files can be purchased.
:: Installer
READYKEY far Windows allows the user to select the names
to be allocated to individual areas, buildings or doors.
:: Real-Time Events
This gives you a display of system events as they occur.
You are able to filter certain types of events so that
only the ones of interest appear on screen.
ASCII Transaction File
An ASCII transaction file is available and can be exported
and used by other software applications. For example,
as an information source for Time and Attendance systems.
:: System Expansion
READYKEY systems are modular which ensures a smooth
transition to a larger system.
Any installed site can easily be expanded by upgrading
software and adding extra hardware.
:: The Hardware behind the
Software Personal Computer (PC)
You will need a PC
which meets the recommended specification to run READYKEY
far Windows software.
